A mix of fluid and cells from the vagina that can be white and sticky or clear and watery and can have an odor.

Keep genital area clean with mild soap and warm water. Don't use douches, scented soaps or hygiene sprays. Fungal medicines are available without a prescription for yeast infections.

See a healthcare professional if:

  • An odd odor, color or texture.
  • Itching, burning or change of color.
  • Pelvic pain.
  • Bloody discharge that's not a period.
  • Symptoms don't improve or get worse after a week.
