Traumatic brain injury occurs when an outside force, usually from a violent blow or jolt to the head or body, causes brain dysfunction.

Symptoms

Immediate or delayed symptoms may include confusion, blurry vision, and concentration difficulty. Infants may cry persistently or be irritable.

Treatments

Treatment may involve rest, medication, and surgery.
