Deep vein thrombosis is a blood clot in a deep vein, usually in the legs. The condition is serious because blood clots can loosen and lodge in the lungs.

Symptoms

Leg pain or swelling may occur. There may be no symptoms.

Treatments

Treatments include medications and use of compression stockings.
