Third Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Contest

Third Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Contest

Monument Health is looking for an artist to help raise breast cancer awareness by painting an Art Alley mural in downtown Rapid City. The artist with the best proposal wins a grand prize of $500, plus up to $150 for supplies.

The contest is open to visual artists who work with aerosol, airbrush, brush or other media. The site in Art Alley has been selected. The mural space is about 10 feet high by 14 feet wide. Monument Health hopes the mural will promote yearly mammograms and offer hope and strength for patients and survivors.

Please submit your mural design proposal by Monday, August 31 and 12p.m. Email your submission to Dusty Hirsch at dhirsch@monument.health.

On Monday, August 31 at 2p.m. Monument Health will post images of the finalists’ entries on our Facebook page. The entry that receives the most Facebook likes by 10 a.m. on Friday, September 4, will be selected as the winner. The mural must be completed before Friday, Oct. 2.
