RAPID CITY, S.D. (Oct. 21, 2019) – Families are invited to join Monument Health caregivers and their children at the fourth annual “Trunk or Treat” Halloween celebration at Monument Health campuses in Rapid City and Spearfish.
Trunk or Treat is a fun, safe way to celebrate Halloween. Teams of Monument Health caregivers dress in costumes and decorate a vehicle with the same theme. The vehicles are arranged in the parking lot with the trunks and hatchbacks open so children can walk from car to car collecting candy.
In Rapid City, the event will be Tuesday, Oct. 29, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the parking lot of the Medical Office Building, 677 Cathedral Drive. (Across Fifth Street from Rapid City Hospital.) As many as 24 teams are expected.
In Spearfish, Trunk or Treat will be Thursday, Oct. 31, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the parking lot of the Monument Health Medical Clinic at 1445 North Ave. Fifteen teams are expected.
Both events are free and open to the public. Parents and visitors are asked to bring a nonperishable food item. The food donated in Rapid City will be given to the Monument Health Family Medicine Residency Clinic’s food bank. The Spearfish donations will go to the Spearfish Community Food Pantry.
