RAPID CITY, S.D. (May 24, 2023) – On Sunday, June 4, cancer survivors, family members and support persons in the community are invited to a National Cancer Survivors Day Event at the Monument Health Cancer Care Institute. Those recently diagnosed with cancer are also invited to attend.
The “Courage to Soar” event will be held from 1-3:30 p.m. at the Cancer Care Institute at 353 Fairmont Boulevard. The cost is $5, and your ticket is a donation to support future cancer care community education events.
The keynote speaker will be Karissa Eifert, a Rapid City woman who had her stomach removed after a rare diagnosis. The program also includes break out sessions featuring topics of cancer rehabilitation therapy, nutrition, exercise and guided imagery.
