COVID-19 Medical Response Fund receives $5,000 from BHFCU

Thanks to a generous donation from Black Hills Federal Credit Union, the first $10,000 in donations to COVID-19 Medical Response Fund at Monument Health Foundation will now be matched. Black Hills Federal Credit Union made a $5,000 donation Friday morning that will be utilized to double the initial matching fund that was established by the Foundation on Thursday.

“Every day there are more cases of COVID-19 and the chances increase that we, or someone we care about, will be affected,” said Roger Heacock, Black Hills Federal Credit Union President and CEO. “By donating to this fund, we are helping to secure the resources needed to protect caregivers and patients, and help our community safely fight this virus.”

Tax-deductible gifts to this fund will be used to purchase or help produce vital medical equipment such as 3D printing supplies for specialized masks created at South Dakota School of Mines & Technology, or locally manufactured face shields for our medical professionals. Donations to this fund will help keep our caregivers safe so they can continue to fight this virus. Funds will be distributed through requests made from Monument Health’s Supply Chain Management leaders to the Foundation.

Visit monument.health/response to make a donation to the COVID-19 Medical Response Fund. Donations can also be mailed to the Monument Health Foundation at PO Box 6000, Rapid City, SD 57709.
