Spearfish Clinic, North Avenue welcomes two new pediatricians

September 17, 2024 Spearfish Clinic, North Avenue welcomes two new pediatricians

Spearfish, S.D. (Sept. 17, 2024) – Monument Health is excited to welcome two new pediatricians to the North Avenue clinic, joining Tara Ulmer, M.D. in providing pediatric and adolescent services. Paula A. Marsland, M.D., began treating patients on Sept. 1 and Mauricio Rendon, M.D., FAAP, will begin on Oct. 1.

“Adding pediatricians to our team allows for better access and a more personal relationship with our young patients,” said, Dr. Ulmer. “Whether it’s a check-up, an acute illness, mental health support or long term management of a chronic condition, knowing your physician can go a long way to provide comfort for children and parents in what can sometimes be an otherwise scary and unfamiliar setting.”

The addition of two physicians showcases the commitment to providing high-quality care, close to home for families in the northern Black Hills. Pediatricians are specially trained in the physical and mental health issues that affect children.

To learn more about Dr. Marsland or Dr. Rendon or to schedule an appointment, visit www.monument.health or call Spearfish Clinic North Avenue at (605) 644-4170.
