Children’s Miracle Network Mediathon set for Friday

RAPID CITY, S.D. (May 9, 2022) – The Children’s Miracle Network Mediathon will broadcast live from the HomeSlice Group studios on Friday, May 13, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. The annual Mediathon is one of the biggest fundraisers for Monument Health Pediatrics.

HomeSlice radio stations 104.7 The Cowboy, 93.9 The Mix, KAT Country 98.7, Real Rock 100.3 The Fox, and Hot 93.1, along with KNBN NewsCenter1 television, will all present miracle stories featuring children from the area. Children and their parents will also be interviewed live on the station, talking about how the region’s families benefit from community support through donations to Children’s Miracle Network at Monument Health.

“Mediathon gives us a tremendous opportunity to come together and raise money for the children throughout our communities,” said Monument Health Children’s Miracle Network Program Manager Shawn Powers. “We truly appreciate the outpouring of support from people across the Black Hills, and we are thankful for their commitment to the comfort and care of our youngest patients.”

Last year’s Mediathon raised more than $96,000 for the Children’s Miracle Network. Money raised through this event and other fundraisers help our local Children’s Miracle Network hospital purchase medical equipment and fund programs for children’s services. Every dollar stays local, helping ill and injured children every day.
