Essential Job Functions:

  • Accountable for accurately collecting demographics, confirming patient identity, guarantor assignment, and coverage information and verification from patients or informants including obtaining necessary documents for check-in or admission among various patient settings, utilizing various communication methods (i.e phone, letters, face-to-face, bedside).

Job Summary

Job Description

Essential Functions:

  • Provide support to the organization, division, and peers as a critical function of all IT professionals.  Support includes day-to-day peer level support, emergent after hours support, and any support required to maintain highly reliable IT systems.
  • Document processes and activities appropriately to maintain highly reliable IT systems.  Provide required elements to Call Tracking, Project Management, Change Management, and Disaster Recovery Services Guides to achieve this goal.
  • Maintains and modifies systems software/hardware to ensure proper operations and to ensure clients have continued access to the system
  • Monitor, analyze, and identify issues to resolve software, hardware, and data center problems.
  • Maintain awareness of security procedures to ensure appropriate physical access, system/network access and process/data integrity as mandated by policies and regulations (i.e. Joint Commission, OSHA, HIPAA, etc.).
  • Research and evaluation of new equipment and technologies shall be addressed as necessary or requested.
  • Knowledgeable of Monument Health's overall corporate IT infrastructure.
  • Consults, trains, and in-services department personnel as required.

Additional Requirements

Preferred:

Education – Associates in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or Related Field

Job Description

Essential Functions:

  • After sterilization process, consistently and accurately transfers sterile items to the sterile storage area, rotates supplies, and safeguards the integrity of sterile supplies through proper handling.
  • Accurately assembles decontaminated individual items, instruments, and trays. Accurately completes count sheet, tray menu, indicator strips, and sterilizing tapes as evidenced by observation and documentation.
  • Assists with monitoring and ordering non-sterile and sterile inventory to ensure replacement supplies are available when needed, as evidenced by observation and documentation.
  • Aware of proper care and handling of surgical instruments to prolong life of the instruments.
  • Maintains quality of trays and individually packaged items in circulation by replacing items that are worn out or in need of repair as evidenced by observation and documentation.
  • Consistently notifies management team of missing or broken instrumentation verbally or in written form as evidenced by observation and documentation.
  • Demonstrates ability to accurately relieve and restock inventory from Pyxis supply station and Flex track system to ensure appropriate par levels of implants as evidenced by documentation.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and competency in decontamination, assembling, sterilizing, storing, distribution, and inventory of equipment, supplies, and implantation devices for patient care.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements

Required:
Education – High School Diploma/GED Equivalent

Preferred:
Experience – 1+ years of Sterile Processing Experience
Certification – Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) – Accredited University or Training Center

  • Oversees business office functions of the clinic including but not limited to scheduling, registration, referral management and patient access and revenue cycle management in conjunction with Revenue Cycle leadership.  Serves as a liaison to corporate service departments that provide and/or support these services.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of and performs a variety of clerical and computer functions to ensure smooth operation of the department.
  • Distributes specimens to the appropriate delivery point in each laboratory department.
  • Answers the telephone in assigned sections.
  • Involved in departmental and system wide quality improvement initiatives as requested.
