Monument Health rebrand officially set for Friday

RAPID CITY, S.D. (Jan. 16, 2020) — On Friday, Jan. 17, Regional Health becomes Monument Health. The rebranding, announced in November, will affect all of the nonprofit health care system’s hospitals, clinics and health care centers in western South Dakota and eastern Wyoming.

The new name and five-diamond M-shaped logo are the result of months of research, focus groups and discussions with community leaders. The Monument Health name is less generic and better reflects the health system that includes 5 hospitals, 8 specialty and surgical centers and more than 40 medical clinics and health care service centers.

“A lot of work has been going on behind the scenes as we prepare to make this exciting update to our health care system,” said Paulette Davidson, Monument Health President and CEO. “We look forward to beginning this transition.”

The most visible immediate change: exterior signs and many printed materials now bear the five-diamond logo and Monument Health name. Crews began replacing signs early this week. Other changes will take place as Monument Health restocks materials such as business cards, letterheads and interior signs.

Online, the Monument Health website, as well as all email addresses, will reflect the new monument.health web address. However, patients and providers don’t need to change bookmarks or contact lists yet. The old regionalhealth.org web address and email addresses will automatically forward to the new web address.

In addition to the new name, Monument Health will also become a member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network on Friday. The Mayo Clinic Care Network is a select group of independent health systems. Monument Health doctors can connect directly with Mayo Clinic doctors when they think it will be helpful to their patients. They can also access the latest research, diagnostic and treatment resources. The clinical resources available to our physicians include: AskMayoExpert, eConsults, eBoards, Health Care Consulting.
