Job Summary

The Mental Health Counselor or Mental Health Therapist coordinates, plans and delivers the best psychotherapeutic approach for each patient.   • Provides individual, marital, family and group therapy within the scope of the inpatient unit
  • Develops and implements an individualized treatment approach. Communicates with family to further the effectiveness of treatment plan.

  • Assesses patient’s progress and modifies treatment plan accordingly.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensures that all shipping and receiving functions are processed accurately on a daily basis.
  • Enters shipping information into appropriate delivery system (I.E. LDS, FedEx, freight, etc).

  • Demonstrates the desire to grow as an employee, team and facility.
  • Positively supports and contributes to departmental development as evidenced by participating in meetings and training.
  • As a member of the multidisciplinary team, the Nurse Aide contributes valuable input to the patient’s care planning process.
  • Assesses and provides direct resident care needs to residents with supervised personal/rehabilitative cares as outlined in their individualized care plan to assist with maintaining or improving functional abilities, comfort, independence and safety.
  • Reports any safety concerns, abnormal parameters as defined for the patient population, or health concerns of the patient to the nurse.
  • Encourages the patient to participate in their own activities of daily living and other aspects of the plan of care as appropriate.

As a Diagnostic Scheduler, you will be working with patients in outpatient settings. Job Description

Essential Functions:

  • Schedules appointments in the computer per testing guidelines, and makes all attempts to meet the customer's expectations.
  • Reviews pre-authorizations, re-authorizations or insurance verifications with clients as indicated.
  • Reviews patient records, physician orders, protocols, and patient data to demonstrate ability for interpretation of subjective and objective information for patient assessment and order validation. Seeks guidance from management team as needs are identified.
  • Accurately and efficiently assigns ICD-9 diagnosis codes, reviews medical necessity for designated tests/procedures and works with Healthcare providers to ensure accurate reimbursement according to Medicare guidelines.
  • Prioritizes incoming phone calls and faxes from patients/families and other medical personnel and walk-in visitors.
  • Coordinates immediate processing of any stat needs.
  • Completes and submits charge tickets per protocol.
  • Participates in orientation of new staff. Assists and supports staff/students as evidenced by observation and feedback. Takes on extended job functions. Involved with staff development or program development.

Required:
