Facial Rejuvenation
Facial rejuvenation treatments aim to enhance the appearance of the face by reducing signs of aging such as wrinkles, sagging skin and uneven tone. Using techniques like dermal fillers, Botox and facelifts, these treatments restore facial contours, smooth out lines and create a more youthful, refreshed look.
Procedures
Botox Cosmetic Injections
Effective, noninvasive in-office procedures, cosmetic injections and facial fillers can quickly improve moderate signs of aging by lifting sagging skin. Botox®injections relax muscles to smooth out wrinkles and fine lines. The effects can last three to four months and it is FDA-approved for patients aged 18-65. Facial fillers improve lost volume and deeper wrinkles, creating effects that can last nine to twenty four months.
Facial Fillers
Juvéderm®– hyaluronic acid fillers of varying formulas lift and fill out areas such as between the eyebrows, cheeks and lips that have thinned or developed wrinkles. Results can last from one to two years, depending on formula used.
Voluma – (subtype of Juvéderm®) is a much thicker filler designed to enhance the deep facial structures like the cheeks and temples. Results last up to two years and often longer.
Skin Resurfacing
Feel energized and refreshed with a skin resurfacing treatment tailored to your specific type of skin. Often used in conjunction with other facial rejuvenation procedures, chemical peels can encourage new growth of collagen and tighten the skin, giving you a healthier, more youthful glow. Fine wrinkle lines, sun damage and acne can be improved through a skin peel exfoliating procedure conducted by our board-certified plastic surgeon with years of experience in caring for delicate skin.
Ear Reduction & Revision
Ears create symmetry and balance for the face, and ears that have defects or irregularities can detract from the overall appearance. Ear surgery, known as Otoplasty, can correct deformities and improve overall facial aesthetics.
Common ear conditions include:
- Macrotia – enlarged ears
- Constricted ears – lop ear or folded ear deformity
- Prominent or protruding ears
- Cauliflower ear – commonly caused by an injury
- Torn ear lobes
Eyelifts
Sagging eyelids and drooping skin around the eye can impede vision and detract from your appearance, in which case blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) can be a good option. These minimally-invasive procedures can often be done in-office and possibly in conjunction with facelifts or nose surgery.
Facelifts, Mini Facelifts, Neck Lift & Brow
Facelift surgery provides overall facial rejuvenation by tightening your underlying tissue as well as eliminating sagging skin. Incisions are hidden along the hairline and scalp so that Dr. Moyer can create a more youthful appearance without noticeable scars. For patients who do not require a full facelift, Dr. Moyer can implement mini-facelift methods which target areas in the upper, middle or lower face to address issues with lax skin, wrinkles and fat deposits.
Dr. Moyer performs a special facelift procedure originally developed at Emory University in which the strong suspensory ligaments deeper in the face are tightened and supported. This prolongs the results and improves patient satisfaction.
Nose Revisions
The nose is a prominent part of the overall aesthetics of the face. Nose surgery, called rhinoplasty, can reconstruct a nose that has been damaged, fix cosmetic flaws or restructure nasal passages for improved respiration. Whether you are considering nose surgery for cosmetic or for functional reasons, our experienced plastic surgeon can bring the improvements that you desire.
Common nose surgeries include:
- Correcting a short nose
- Correcting a long nose
- Reducing the nasal bridge
- Removing a bump
- Increasing the length of the tip
- Reshaping the tip
- Decreasing the width of the nostrils
- Revising previous surgery
