Breast cancer is treated primarily by the removal of part or all of your breast tissue. Some patients then choose a breast reconstruction surgery to improve their aesthetic appearance. A new breast is formed using implants or tissue flaps gained from other parts of the body. In this technique, excess skin and breast tissue are removed, creating a more attractive appearance. Breast reduction surgery is often combined with a breast lift to reposition the breasts for a more youthful look.
