Monument Health Foundation official earns CFRE credential
RAPID CITY, S.D. (April 11, 2019) – CFRE International has announced that Shawn Powers, Development Coordinator at the Monument Health Foundation, has earned designation as a Certified Fund Raising Executive. Shawn joins over 6,300 professionals around the world who hold the CFRE designation.
To earn the CFRE credential, an individual must meet a series of standards set by CFRE International, including tenure in the profession, education and demonstrated fundraising achievement for not-for-profit organizations. They must pass a rigorous written examination that tests the knowledge, skill and abilities required of a fundraising executive. In addition, they agree to uphold Accountability Standards and the Donor Bill of Rights.
“Professional growth, development and aspiration are important Monument Health Foundation commitments. Thus, it is with great pleasure that I congratulate Shawn Powers on earning the Certified Fund Raising Executive designation. This credential serves as an external validation of an individual’s ability to meet rigorous standards and demonstrate fundraising achievement in a not-for-profit organization,” said Priscilla Romkema, Monument Health Foundation President. “As the development coordinator for Children’s Miracle Network, Shawn leads with purpose, focus and professionalism; therefore, the CFRE credential further strengthens his role and that of the entire Foundation in its efforts to build a culture of generosity.”
Shawn joins Angie Kliewer, Director of the Monument Health Foundation, who earned the CFRE designation 20 years ago.
CFRE International is an independent organization promoting confidence, ethics and professionalism in fundraising. Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and led by a small professional staff, CFRE International consistently meets the highest standards for certification excellence.
