Obstructive sleep apnea most often affects middle-aged and older adults, and overweight people.

Symptoms

Symptoms include snoring and daytime sleepiness.

Treatments

Weight loss and continuous positive airway pressure can help. Other treatments include medications, such as decongestants, an oral device, and surgery.
