Miliaria

Published on March 3, 2020

Overview

Miliaria is common during hot, humid weather. It occurs when sweat ducts become blocked, trapping sweat under the skin. This condition is also called heat rash and prickly heat.

Symptoms

The rash may appear as small blisters or deep, inflamed lumps. Heat rash may cause itchiness or a prickly feeling.

Treatments

Heat rash usually goes away on its own once the skin cools.
