Overview

A dislocation occurs when joints, such as shoulders, elbows or fingers, are forced out of their usual position. It often happens from a fall, an auto accident or while participating in sports.

Treatments

Prompt medical attention is needed to put the joint back in place, followed by several weeks of rest.
