A cancerous or noncancerous growth of cells in or near the brain.

Overview

A brain tumor is a growth of cells in or near the brain. Some are cancerous. Cancer in other parts of the body can spread to the brain.

Symptoms

Symptoms may include new or very strong headaches and blurred vision. Others may be balance problems, confusion and seizures.

Treatments

Treatments may include surgery, radiation and chemotherapy. They also may include targeted medicines that fight cancer cells.
