Community Heart Hub
In partnership with the American Heart Association, Monument Health is proud to be setting up Community Heart Hubs in our community—a free, accessible space dedicated to heart health.
This initiative is part of a broader effort by the American Heart Association, which has successfully launched similar Heart Hubs across the Midwest to promote cardiovascular awareness and prevention.

Rapid City Public Library
The first Community Heart Hub is located within the Rapid City Public Library. This Heart Hub offers adults the opportunity to check their blood pressure using an automated kiosk, explore educational materials and access information about local health care providers and wellness resources.

Community Health Needs
Cardiovascular health is a critical issue in our community:
- 43.4% of Rapid City residents have high blood pressure—a number that has increased by more than 10% over the past decade.
- An alarming 89.3% of the population has one or more cardiovascular risk factors.
These numbers highlight the urgent need for prevention, education and access to resources that support heart health.
