Since its beginning in 1880, South Dakota School for the Deaf has supported families with children who are deaf and hard of hearing. Known today as the South Dakota Services for the Deaf, SDSD employs licensed audiologists who perform diagnostic audiological evaluations at no cost for South Dakota children ages birth to 21 or until they graduate from high school.
