As the philanthropic giving department of Monument Health it’s our duty to guide donors and host events that in return support our caregivers and physicians so they can do what they do best – save lives. Whether it’s a tiny baby in the NICU, a mom who was just diagnosed with breast cancer or a grandfather who is a patient at the Hospice House, we are honored to serve the people we support, and more importantly grateful for the individuals that believe in our mission and give back to something greater than themselves. We truly believe that EVERY GIFT MAKES A DIFFERENCE.

Children's Miracle Network

Children's Miracle Network

Founded in 1983, the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals network has grown to include 170 hospitals, caring for children throughout the United States and Canada. Donations stay local to fund critical treatments, health care services and pediatric medical equipment. Monument Health is one of two South Dakota health care systems that are part of CMN Hospitals. Rapid City Hospital became a CMN hospital in 1989. In 2015, CMN began serving all Monument Health hospitals when the Monument Health Foundation became a systemwide foundation. The mission of the Children’s Miracle Network program at Monument Health is to improve the lives of children in our region and “make medical miracles happen” by strengthening children’s health care services through fundraising activities.

The Golden Guitars Gala is a program that benefits Children’s Miracle Network locally as part of the Monument Health Foundation. Each year, one of a kind Golden Guitars are signed by musicians who perform at The Monument and other select venues.

Paint the Rock Pink is the premier ladies golf event held the second Tuesday of August. Proceeds benefit the Monument Health Cancer Care Institute — helping local cancer patients in their fight!

For many years, Jack Nicklaus wore yellow to show his support for Craig, a young man battling cancer. Today, we invite you to Play Yellow and support children in the Black Hills. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the Play Yellow tournament benefit Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) at Monument Health. CMN works to fund programs, state-of-the-art medical equipment and services for ill and injured kids.

Monument Health Has Talent is a Foundation event consisting of three local talent shows throughout the system and a finale were the top 3 winners are chosen for cash prizes. The local shows raised funds to support the Monument Health Foundation.

Cancer Care Institute

November

Extra Life is a fundraising program of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. The Extra Life community fundraises year-round to Change Kids’ Health to Change the Future. Donations go to local member hospitals to fund critical life-saving treatments and healthcare services, along with innovative research, vital pediatric medical equipment, and child life services.
