Dakota Market Square Dialysis Clinic
Completion target: Fall 2021
Monument Health will move its outpatient dialysis clinic to a larger, more accessible storefront location in the Dakota Market Square retail complex at East North and Cambell streets in Rapid City. The new 16,000-square-foot clinic will have 36 dialysis stations. The clinic location will offer access to public transportation and automobile access from Interstate 90 and S.D. Highway 79.
Cancer Care Institute Expansion
Completion target: Summer 2023
The $36 million project underway at the east end of the Rapid City Hospital campus will improve patient comfort, allow more collaboration among specialists and keep cancer patients closer to home. The new second-floor infusion area will offer roomy, pleasant spaces with large windows and a great view.
Rehabilitation and Critical Care Hospital of the Black Hills
Completion target: Spring 2023
The new hospital, to be built near the corner of the Catron Boulevard and U.S. Highway 16, will be home to the region’s first long-term acute care hospital (LTACH). In addition, Monument Health’s existing rehabilitation hospital will be part of the new hospital. It will have 36 rehabilitation beds and 18 long-term acute care beds. The hospital is a joint venture with Vibra Healthcare.
Completed Projects
Opened: Fall 2020
The $220 million project included expanded Emergency Department and ambulance services, a rooftop helipad, 1,300 covered and above-ground parking spaces, a 32-bed Heart and Vascular Unit, and an integrated outpatient Heart and Vascular Institute.

The new hospital at Catron Boulevard and U.S. Highway 16 is home to a surgical hospital, a number of specialty clinics, a physical therapy gym and the Sports Performance Institute Powered by EXOS.

Monument Health and the City of Custer partnered to build the $22 million hospital and clinic. It includes inpatient rooms, clinic care, physical therapy, urgent care services, an Emergency Department and a healing garden.

The $10 million clinic is adjacent to Sturgis Hospital and has 36 exam rooms, a physical therapy gym, urgent care services and a community room.
