Know Your Risks.
The High-Risk Breast Clinic was developed to help care for men or women who have an elevated risk of breast cancer secondary to family history, genetic susceptibility and biopsy-based risk factors. Our team of experts focuses on high-resolution imaging technologies (including breast MRI and 3D mammograms), genetic testing, surgery and reconstruction. They work collaboratively with patients to help determine genetic cancer risk and develop individualized plans for screenings and further risk reduction.

Breast Cancer Risk Factors
- Familial and genetic risk factors
- Known personal or family history of certain gene mutations.
- Family history of breast cancer in men.
- Family history of breast cancer in women before the age of 50.
- Personalized: Being told by a provider you have an elevated risk of breast cancer based on a personal risk assessment or having dense breast tissue.
- Risk Assessment Tool: Evaluation by a breast cancer risk assessment model determines you have an elevated lifetime risk of developing breast cancer.
- Breast biopsy findings: A breast biopsy which has demonstrated a high-risk lesion including but not limited to the following:
- Atypical ductal hyperplasia (ADH)
- Atypical lobular hyperplasia (ALH)
- Lobular neoplasia/Lobular carcinoma in situ (LCIS)
- Sclerosing adenosis
- Radial scar
- Flat epithelial atypia
- Papillary lesion with atypia
- Personal History: History of radiation treatment to the chest before the age of 30.

- Review of breast imaging.
- A clinical breast examination.
- Appropriate referrals.
- Patient education for breast cancer risk factors, early detection and prevention, and risk reduction.
- Option for same-day genetic testing or referral to a genetic specialist.
- Implementation of mutually-developed personalized care plan.

- Any recent breast imaging and reports.
- All prior breast biopsy or surgical pathology reports.
- Any prior genetic testing results.
