In This Section

The purpose of the Monument Health Rehabilitation Scholarship program is to:

Develop a pipeline of highly qualified Physical Therapists and Occupational Therapists
Support students committed to serving the western South Dakota
Reduce recruitment cost and vacancy
Improve long-term employee retention
Strengthen relationships with regional educational institutions

Scholarship Award

Award Amount

$40,000 Scholarship

Funds may be paid directly to the lender or educational institution

Service Commitment

Recipients will commit to:

Three (3) years of full-time employment with Monument Health upon graduation and licensure
Employment in a Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist position within Monument Health Rehabilitations

Eligible Programs

Physical Therapist

Applicants must be enrolled in a CAPTE-accredited Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program

Occupational Therapy

Applicants must be enrolled in an ACOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) program

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must

Employment Agreement

Accept a full-time position with Monument Health within 3 months of graduation and licensure
Maintain full-time employment for three years
