RAPID CITY, S.D. (June 6, 2022) – On Saturday, June 11, West River communities will gather for a brunch in Rapid City to honor and celebrate the lives of cancer survivors while raising awareness of the ongoing challenges survivors face.
The Hope Grows Brunch, part of National Cancer Survivors Day, will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Alpine/Ponderosa Room at The Monument, 444 N. Mount Rushmore Road. The cost is $5, and your ticket is a donation to support future cancer care community education events.
Cancer survivor Doris Cardwell will be the featured speaker. The program also includes talks by Scott Guidotti, General Manager of the Monument Health Sports Performance Institute Powered by EXOS, and Kristi Gylten, Director of the Monument Health Cancer Care Institute.
