8:30 A.M. MONDAY UPDATE – Condition Snow has been lifted at Custer Hospital and Senior Care Center, but the outpatient clinics in Hot Springs, Hill City and Custer will remain closed today.

7 P.M. UPDATE – Monument Health Sturgis Senior Care has declared Condition Snow, which means staffing protocols are in place to be sure we have enough staff to care for the residents during the storm.
12:15 P.M. UPDATE — Monument Health Custer announced that clinic locations in Custer, Hot Springs and Hill City will be closed all day Monday, March 15, due to the worsening weather conditions. Anyone with scheduled appointments, including COVID-19 vaccinations, will be contacted on Tuesday, March 16, to reschedule.
SUNDAY, MARCH 14, 11:45 A.M. –Due to heavy snow and high winds in the Southern Hills, Monument Health Custer Hospital and Monument Health Senior Care Center have declared Condition Snow as of 11 a.m. today, Sunday, March 14. U.S. Highway 16 between Custer and Newcastle is closed, and no travel is advised south to Hot Springs.
Under Condition Snow, staffing protocols and other measures are put into place to ensure there are enough caregivers on duty to take care of patients during the storm. The hospital Emergency Department remains available during Condition Snow.
