Job Summary

This is a unique opportunity for you to support vaccination efforts and administer the COVID-19 vaccine to our community. The vaccinator role will work with a team of clinicians to conduct activities related to administering COVID-19 vaccines. Vaccinator may prepare vaccination for administration according to manufacturer and organization instruction if scope of individuals practice allows, they will administer intramuscular injections, monitor patients during observation period and document all patient care. Vaccinators will adhere to handling standards during admixture, preparation, and transport of vaccine within the facility and maintains awareness of medication storage guidelines, including cold chain considerations.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

• May prepare vaccination for administration according to manufacturer and organization instruction if scope of individuals practice allows.
• Administer intramuscular injections.
• Monitor patients during observation period.
• Document all patient care.
• All other duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements

Required:

Education - High School Diploma/ GED

Experience - Vaccination Experience

Certification/ Licensure - Licensed Practical Nurses - Current State of South Dakota LPN License

Physical Requirements:
Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
