Job Summary
As the Director of Surgical Services at Rapid City Hospital, you will be joining a state-of the art, 300+ patient bed, Level II Trauma Center hospital that that offers diverse surgical/procedural specialties such as cardiovascular, neuro, orthopedic, urology, and general surgery that uses advanced technology to include use of robotics in multiple services. Monument Health provides 24/7 emergency/trauma services that cover a 350-mile radius with 2 helicopter air ambulances providing transport service. Every day.The OR at Rapid City Hospital consists of 14 rooms with 12 designated for surgery. The team consists of Surgical Techs, Anesthesiologists, RNs, Certified First Assistants, and other support staff. The Director of Surgical Services at this exceptional hospital will maximize success in the Surgical Services Department along with oversight of PreAdmissions Testing, PreOP/PACU, Endoscopy and Central Sterile Processing by leading with a transformational, hands on leadership style. Responsibilities will include developing and deploying resources to maintain financial performance and ensure the wellbeing and development of the employees’ talents to adopt ideas, new processes, and technology for successful innovation. The Director will continually pursue higher levels of organizational and human performance to include quality, productivity, and time performance along with constant collaboration with physicians to always ensure high-end patient care is delivered.

Essential Functions:

Additional Requirements
Required:
Education - Master's degree in Nursing
Experience…. 5+ years of OR Leadership
Certifications - Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing
Preferred:
Certification - CNOR Certification - Accredited University or accredited training professionals
Physical Requirements:Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
