Job SummaryThe Community Relations Specialist will develop existing internal and community partnerships and relationships by coordinating Monument Health’s presence at community events, ensuring board involvement in influential community organizations, and seeking opportunities to partner with organizations that support the Monument Health mission of Making a Difference. Every Day. The position reports to the Manager of Public Relations.
Identify all major community events where Monument Health should have representation and manage the presence for the organization to make sure that the right people are in attendance.
Identify community boards where Monument Health should be represented. Align leaders to these boards to build deep relationships/connections within key organizations in our community.
Identify core initiatives that allow for community engagement (examples: construction, back-to-school immunizations, health fairs, etc.) and work with the rest of the Strategic Marketing & Communications team to integrate into overall marketing and communication plans.
Identify local/regional/national speaking opportunities for Monument Health executives. Coordinate all details associated with the speaking opportunities to assure optimal brand presence.
Develop annual sponsorship strategy, working with the Manager of Public Relations, to include specific sponsorship criteria and application processes.
Chair the sponsorship committee to vet potential sponsorships along with calculated impact.
Manage approved sponsorships to ensure that we achieve the maximum benefit. Track and report on the impact of our sponsorship and community involvement efforts.
All other duties as assigned.
Education - Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or Public Relations or related field.
Experience - 5+ years Marketing/Communications Experience, 3+ years Business Development Experience
Sedentary work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.15 Corporate Services Division
