The Information Technology Division's Infrastructure Team manages and maintains the core technology infrastructure and services at Monument Health. As the Director of IT Technical Services (Chief Technology Officer), you will oversee the Infrastructure Technology Team to provide direction and support for strategic planning and development of technology to meet the needs of the entire healthcare system.

Job Description

Common IT Director Essential Functions

  • Develops the strategy for core infrastructure including the optimal strategy for on premise versus Cloud migrations for EHR, telecom and other essential technologies to support an effective use of organizational investments, technical and human resources.”
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of core business structures, systems, practices, trends, and technologies within the healthcare industry to continue to develop and drive an information-based culture.
  • Creates an environment where people understand they are valued, respected, and in turn are motivated and energized to innovative methods of doing business, generating revenue, and managing risks. 
  • Effectively delegates responsibility and accountability to caregivers by providing clear guidelines and direction.
  • Manage the budget development process for the department. Develops and implements plans to manage variances.
  • Provide support to the organization, IT Division, and peers as a critical function of all IT professionals. Support includes day-to-day peer level support, emergent after hour support, and any support required to maintain highly reliable IT systems.
  • Keep ahead of industry developments and apply best practices, using data to target areas of improvement.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Specific IT Director Essential Functions

  • Directs the strategic design, acquisition, implementation, and management of an enterprise-wide technology infrastructure.
  • Creates and maintains a highly available, high performing and secure core IT infrastructure that supports the long term strategies and goals of Monument Health.
  • Communicate the company’s technology strategy to IT Management, partners, and caregivers.
  • Monitors and analyzes technology and trends that could improve Monument Health’s products and performance.
  • Demonstrates a clear understanding of core IT infrastructure, systems, practices, trends, and technologies within our current industry and of those in which we choose to compete in the future.

Additional Requirements

Required:
Education - Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field

Preferred:
Experience - 5+ years of Computer/Information Technology Experience; 5+ years of Health Information System Experience

Physical Requirements:
Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
