Job Description

Essential Functions:

Application of the ANA Nursing Process (2010) comprises performing the subsequent responsibilities:

  • Accumulates comprehensive information that is crucial for understanding the healthcare consumer's health and condition.
  • Reviews the assessment data in order to ascertain the diagnosis or main concerns.
  • Pinpoints predicted achievements for an individualized intervention devised for the healthcare user in the scenario.
  • Crafts a set of guidelines proposing approaches and choices to accomplish intended objectives.
  • Puts into effect the designated plan. Secures the patient's advancement along the plan.
  • Facilitation of Care - assists in the organization of care services.
  • Strategies in health teaching and health promotion are used to advance health and ensure a safe surrounding.
  • In consultation, the advanced practice registered nurse and nursing role specialist collaborate to influence the identified plan, bolster the competencies of others, and bring about positive transformations.
  • Assesses the headway in accomplishing intended outcomes.

  • The responsibilities of a Registered Professional Nurse as defined by the state involves administering competent care that meets the criteria outlined by regulatory bodies, accrediting agencies, and state laws.

Effectively employs appropriate technology and software in order to:

  • Provide support for nursing duties and documenting patient care.
  • Engage with diverse work-related platforms and systems crucial for being a proactive and involved team member within the organization, including checking corporate emails, completing iLearn training sessions, providing feedback through employee engagement surveys, examining details about benefits and salary packages, and acquainting oneself with company rules and regulations.

Additional Requirements

Required:

Education - Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing

Certifications - Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) - Within 60 days of hire or transfer; Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing or Wyoming Board of Nursing for Wyoming facilities

Regarding BLS certification:

The department you are applying to may require BLS certification sooner than 60 days post transfer/hire. The hiring manager will discuss this with you if it is applicable.

Preferred:

Experience - 5+ years of Registered Nurse Experience

Education - Bachelors degree in Nursing

Physical Requirements:

Very Heavy work - exerting over 25 pounds of force constantly (67-100% of the time), and/or more than 50 pounds frequently (34-66% of the time), and/or more than 100 pounds of force occassionally (up to 33% of the time), and/or more than 100 pounds of force seldomly to move objects. Possible exposure to radiation and frequent exposure to contaminated needles and infectious body substances. Requires the ability to work designated shift lengths (including 8 and 12 hours), which may include night shifts or occasional irregular hours.
