As a Physical Therapist working in outpatient services, your primary role will involve delivering hands-on treatment to individuals across all age groups, ranging from infants to the elderly, aiming to improve their physical well-being and functionality. Additionally, you will be responsible for fulfilling various administrative tasks within the Rehab Services Department when required. Our physical therapy programs extend to outreach locations in neighboring communities, where you will actively engage in delivering therapeutic interventions.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

• Demonstrates effective critical thinking and decision-making skills when delivering care. Executes all elements of therapy following established national, organizational, and evidence-supported guidelines. Delivers therapy that aligns with or surpasses departmental performance goals.
• Processing paperwork promptly and precisely to validate the medical need as per the department's guidelines.
• Submits the necessary documentation for billing purposes, ensuring accuracy in charges and authorizations. Shows proficiency in managing time effectively in alignment with departmental productivity benchmarks.
• Shows proactive behavior in personal career growth. Finishes all necessary training mandated by Monument Health and for obtaining licenses/certifications promptly. Actively advocates for the field both internally at Monument Health and externally in the community.
• Offers guidance in adherence to regulations set by state, federal, and professional organizations.
• Includes and informs patients, family members, and caregivers about treatment, goal establishment, and discharge coordination as needed.
• Adheres to all mandated rules and regulations concerning insurance, accreditation, and oversight from national and state entities.
• Additional tasks may be delegated as necessary.

Additional Requirements

Required:

Education - Bachelors: Physical Therapy

Certification - Physical Therapist (PT) - South Dakota Board of Physical Therapy

Preferred:

Education - Masters: Physical Therapy

Physical Requirements:

Very Heavy work - exerting over 25 pounds of force constantly (67-100% of the time), and/or more than 50 pounds frequently (34-66% of the time), and/or more than 100 pounds of force occasionally (up to 33% of the time), and/or more than 100 pounds of force seldomly to move objects. Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, or tissues. Requires the ability to work designated shift lengths (including 8 and 12 hours), which may include night shifts or occasional irregular hours.
