Job Description

Essential Functions:

Utilizes the ANA Nursing Process (2010) as a framework for executing the subsequent tasks:

  • Gathers thorough information relevant to the health and circumstances of healthcare consumers.
  • Evaluates assessment information to identify the diagnosis or underlying problems.
  • Determines projected results for a customized plan tailored to the healthcare user in question.
  • Creates a blueprint outlining tactics and options to achieve desired results.
  • Puts the plan into action while overseeing the patient's advancement within the plan.
  • Coordination of Care involves organizing the delivery of care services.
  • Health education and health promotion involve utilizing methods to enhance well-being and ensure a secure surrounding.
  • Consultation involves advanced practice registered nurses and nursing role specialists offering guidance to impact the designated strategy, improve the skills of individuals, and bring about transformation.
  • Assesses advancements made in achieving desired results.

Adheres to the guidelines set out in the ANA Standards of Professional Performance (2010):

  • Improves nursing practice in a methodical manner to boost quality and efficiency
  • Achieves the expertise and skillset in alignment with contemporary nursing standards
  • Assessing one's nursing practice in accordance with professional standards and guidelines, as well as relevant laws and regulations, is crucial
  • Engages with and enhances the professional growth of fellow peers and colleagues

  • The duties of a Registered Professional Nurse are aligned with the regulations set by the state of practice, ensuring the provision of skilled and compliant care according to established standards and guidelines from regulatory bodies and accrediting agencies.
  • Adheres to the guidelines outlined in the Nursing Code of Ethics by the American Nurses Association from 2010.

Effectively utilizes suitable technology and software to:

  • Assist and record nursing tasks and patient treatment.
  • Gain entry to essential work-related tools and software required to participate as a committed and involved member of the company, including corporate email, iLearn coursework, staff satisfaction assessments, details on perks and salary, and guidelines and protocols.
  • Consistently looks for chances to enhance the standard of patient care provision using inventive and original approaches to issue-solving.

Additional Requirements

Required:

Education - Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing

Certifications - Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) - Within 60 days of hire or transfer; Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing or Wyoming Board of Nursing for Wyoming facilities

Regarding BLS certification:

The department you are applying to may require BLS certification sooner than 60 days post transfer/hire. The hiring manager will discuss this with you if it is applicable.

Preferred:

Experience - 5+ years of Registered Nurse Experience

Education - Bachelors degree in Nursing

Physical Requirements:

Very Heavy work - exerting over 25 pounds of force constantly (67-100% of the time), and/or more than 50 pounds frequently (34-66% of the time), and/or more than 100 pounds of force occassionally (up to 33% of the time), and/or more than 100 pounds of force seldomly to move objects. Possible exposure to radiation and frequent exposure to contaminated needles and infectious body substances. Requires the ability to work designated shift lengths (including 8 and 12 hours), which may include night shifts or occasional irregular hours.
