CUSTER, S.D. (Sept. 26, 2019) – The public is invited to participate in the Betina Basso Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, Oct. 5. The one-mile run/walk begins 10 a.m. at Monument Health Custer Hospital Healing Garden.
The Fun Run/Walk has two purposes – to celebrate Physical Therapy Month and to honor longtime Physical Therapist Betina Basso, who passed away July 13 at age 45.
Betina earned a master’s degree in Physical Therapy (MPT) in 1998 from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. As a pediatric physical therapist from 2001 to 2019 at Monument Health Custer Hospital, she provided professional care and healing to countless Black Hills residents. Betina received the Regional Leadership Award in 2015.
In addition to the one-mile run/walk, the event will include physical therapy-related door prizes and a celebration of movement. For more information, contact Danielle Wheeler at 605-440-0965.
