The 30th Anniversary Great Black Hills Duck Race is set for Sunday, July 28. However, the fast-moving waters of Rapid Creek have forced organizers to turn this year’s Children’s Miracle Network fundraiser into a dryland duck race.
The Great Black Hills Duck Race and the Kid’s Carnival will both take place at the Sioux Park stadium near Canyon Lake Drive. The event runs from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., with the official Drop of the Flock at 2 p.m.
Approximately 16,000 rubber duckies competing for more than $25,000 in prizes including a $5,000 top prize and a chance to win one million dollars! Sponsor ducks for $5 each. One hundred percent of the proceeds stay local to benefit Children’s Miracle Network at Monument Health. Every duck makes a difference!
