Monument Health Rapid City Hospital is seeking an Infectious Disease Physician.

We are seeking a BC/BE Infectious Disease physician. This hospital-employed consult service has an essential role in Monument Health’s ability to achieve its goal of delivering high-quality care. The opportunity involves primarily inpatient on-call coverage for 20 weeks (140 days) alternating with some outpatient clinic for an additional 42 days annually. Inpatient service is in 7 day blocks of 24 hour coverage (minimum 9 hours on site with 15 hours offsite on call coverage). During clinic days no calls or any other duty involved.  Very good work-life balance provides sufficient off time only requiring approx. 14 days a month of service (combined inpatient and outpatient duties). Inpatient load is moderate, usually 12-15 patients per day.  This provider will be supported by a strong Infectious Disease interdisciplinary team including the Lab, 2 ID trained Clinical Pharmacists, a Director of Infection Control, numerous Infection Preventionist and a ID clinic RN. Two other full time providers complete the whole year schedule.
